Head of Fundraising Salary up to £39,000 per annum

Our purpose is to realise the full potential of our community here in West London, both today and tomorrow. As a registered charity and one of the first social enterprises in the UK, we’re busy delivering; economic, health, education, employment and enterprise programmes. We also provide a wealth of leading sports and fitness facilities and property regeneration across the Westway.

Overall purpose of the role:

The Trust is going through an exciting time of change and we are looking to recruit a dynamic Head of Fundraising to support the development of new fundraising streams for existing projects to ensure their sustainability and for new innovative programmes designed to support social mobility. Key responsibilities will include the diversification of income streams particularly in commissioning, grants, corporate sponsorship and an emerging philanthropy strategy. Strengthen and increase funding focusing on charitable, governmental and EU grants as well as trusts, corporate and individual giving.

The successful candidate must have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

· Significant and successful experience operating at a senior level in charity fundraising, generating sustainable annual revenue streams and knowledge of different ways to grow income, and versatility in picking up new strands.

· Experience of devising, implementing and evaluating fundraising strategies with Knowledge and understanding of social impact reporting frameworks and methodologies.

· Experience of managing people to enable them to achieve their potential, including working with volunteers.

· Successful experience of developing and maintaining relationships  with grant making trusts and of working with high net-worth supporters to develop our fundraising products and segment our social investment  appeal.

· Excellent use of IT, including desktop publishing and database and fundraising administration systems.

· Educated to degree level, or graduate calibre.

Development Manager (Employment Pathways) Salary Circa £30,000 per annum

The successful candidate must have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

· Excellent working knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks and experience of developing funding applications with an understanding of social impact reporting structure and methodologies.

· Excellent written and spoken English.

· Excellent interpersonal skills with enthusiasm, flexibility, energy and commitment.

· Focused, and results driven, with a readiness to seize new opportunities and ideas.

· Well organised and methodical, experience of and ability to deal with stressful situations and competing demands, ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative and willingness to work occasional unsocial hours.

· Highly numerate, sufficient for developing, budgeting and reporting fully-costed programme proposals, excellent use of IT, including desktop publishing and database and fundraising administration systems.

· Experience of working with volunteers.

Membership Consultant (Sport and Enterprise Division) £19,500

  • 2 x Full-time 40hrs per week, permanent  position

An exciting opening has arisen to join one of the UK’s first Social Enterprises, at a time of change and regeneration.  Would you like to join this growing and innovative Trust?

The Sport and Enterprise Division has ambitious plans for the future that will improve the health and wellbeing of our communities to grow our existing facilities of Westway Sports Centre, Portobello Green Fitness Club and Community Sports Development. We are looking for an industry professional with a track record of success to join our team.

As a Membership Consultant you will be required to generate new customers across the Sport and Enterprise Divisions services, working closely with Head of customer experience and the Administrations and Bookings team to achieve monthly income targets.

The Trust was founded in 1971 after the A40 Westway flyover was bulldozed through North Kensington within the boundaries of the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, leaving 23 acres of derelict land underneath it. The Trust was established to develop this land for the benefit of the community.

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • Experience of working in a high paced customer focused environment
  • Experience of working with bookings and IT systems
  • Cash handling
  • Track record in sales growth in a leisure environment
  • Understanding of industry trends and creation of high quality customer focused environment

Customer Service Advisor (Sport and Enterprise Division)

  • Casual contracts, variable hours on a shift basis,, including early mornings, evenings and weekends

As a Customer Service Advisor you will be expected to deliver high quality customer service to all customers in-line with the organisational policies and procedures. You will work as part of a team to ensure the operational running of the centre on a day-to-day basis. Your enthusiasm, positive and friendly attitude will ensure customers encounter a welcoming and enjoyable experience at all times.

The successful candidate will have:
