Remembering our Nurses International Nurses' Day

By Najat

“Nursing staff working through the pandemic have shattered the stereotypes of nursing. The world has seen first-hand the fundamental role nursing plays in patient safety.”

These lines were a headline on the Royal College of Nursing website on International Nurses Day. I felt goose bumps while reading these words. Can you imagine nurses leaving their homes every day, hoping to return safely and not carrying the virus?

Mothers, fathers who cannot hug their children, husbands or wives in case they infect their loved one with a deadly virus ?

The truth is that these people are the real soldiers, they are the brave ones who are on the front line in this endless war. No matter what we do, we cannot repay them for this ultimate heroism. All we can do on this special day is to show our gratitude to these brave warriors, and to take sensible precautions against this virus, to protect ourselves and protect them too.

I take my hat off to you dear angels with great appreciation and gratitude!!
