This course is an introduction to painting where you will progressively acquire skills starting with mixing and matching colour and progress to painting from observation. Through a range of painting exercises, you will learn to use colour and tone to create compositions from observation. This course will give you essential painting skills, enabling you to progress to further painting challenges. |

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?You will need to bring canvas board or Oil and acrylic paper for example between 300 to 400gsm hot pressed. You can get these from any local art suppliers. An apron or overall is useful. We will provide easels and other basic painting material |

Will I get feedback? What could I do next?Students will be encouraged to continue their painting practice outside the class, for personal development and to prepare a portfolio of work if desired. Enrol on the Introduction to painting portraits in the Spring Term |
