Applications Open.

We want to support community celebrations and events, particularly those that give local talent a chance to be showcased. This fund is designed to receive applications for events and projects where this is either central to the activity or where there is a significant element of public engagement. We are pleased for this to be across any art form or theme important to the North Kensington communities.

Applications are now open for round one of our Celebrations & Events Grant for 2025/26, covering events to take place between May - September 2025. £45,000 is available in round one.

A further £45,000 will be distributed in round two, for events taking place from October 2025 - April 2026.

Please note: we expect this grant programme to be extremely competitive. Last year, we received 81 applications, to a total value of £134,211. We distributed £69,426 to 45 local organisations, meaning that 36 applicants were unsuccessful. You can see a full list of successful recipients from 2024/25 here

Please carefully read the Guidelines for Applicants prior to completing your application form.

Deadline

All applications for round two must be received by 9am on Monday 14 April 2025.

The maximum grant awarded is £2,500 for any one event regardless of collaborations or partnerships between organisations.

Applications will be assessed within week of the deadline, with all applicants notified of the outcome by Thursday, 1 May 2025.

Events on the Westway estate

If you are applying for funding to host an event on the Westway estate, you will be asked to apply for a license for the space before your funding is released. You can apply for licenses to host events on different parts of the Westway estate.

Applicants should allow a minimum of six weeks for the license application process.

If your license for space on the Westway estate is unsuccessful, you will be asked to provide evidence of permission to host the event elsewhere before any funding is released.

Where possible, we support local community groups and individuals to hold events in North Kensington, through space hire or equipment loan.

If you're interested in loaning equipment for your upcoming event, please complete our online form. We'll check your request and get back to you within 2 working days with availability.

For events being held in 3-5 Thorpe Close (UNDR), please complete this form along with your grant application
