The market debuted on Thursday 12 July 2018 and continues to offer a great range of vegan cuisine and ethical shopping from local traders. Vegan Market Founder JP McCormack says,

This is an award winning market full of energy and diversity won Best Vegan Market UK at the VEGFEST Awards 2019.
During the pandemic, the market has adapted to ensure that it is providing a COVID safe shopping experience. JP explains,
We have the market's running but it hasn't been easy as we have to liaise with the Trust, RBKC and the Police to ensure a COVID safe event. We generally encourage everybody to keep it moving, use the park next door and to check out all the delights of Portobello Road.
