A Huge Thank You to Our Community for Joining Our Windrush Day Celebrations on Portobello Green!
A warm thank you to our partner organisations, local artists and residents for supporting and attending our Windrush 75 programme of events, Portobello Green showcased rich talent, a vibrant art installation and a collective spirt of unity. Thank you to the local talent that blessed us with performances from The Pepper Pot Voices, Bubbles, Amey St Cyr, Jalisha, Joel, Rhumzy JB, Pan Diva and the Tabernacle's favourites; The Rum Band.
One of the highlights of the event was the unveiling of the "Windrush Star" which forms part of the Walk of Honor unveiled earlier this month, details for nominating local organisations to feature on the Walk of Honor will be released soon. Alongside this, another artwork was revealed in Maxilla by children from the EPCA supplementary school who worked on the project with local artist, Junior Tomlin.
