Within our Adult and Community Learning department, we offer a number of creative courses.
The classes are taught by local artists and practitioners who encourage learners to develop their own ideas and explore their creativity.
Last week week Westway Trust hosted an exhibition titled 'Together' which was a celebration of the outstanding work of our learners practicing across a wide range of disciplines including life drawing, printmaking, miniature diorama, and upcycling dressmaking. Inspired by stories from learners in our community, the exhibition aimed to draw attention to different life experiences, careers, cultures and challenges to be overcome.
The launch event was a huge success with the artists having the opportunity to speak to others about their works and for visitors to find out more about the new courses on offer at Westway Trust. Well done to Grazia, our Adult and Community Learning Manager, all of the course tutors, and most importantly, to all of the artists that featured their work in this exhibition. Well done and we look forward to welcoming you to our new courses starting in January.
